NCAA March Madness Sweet 16 & Elite Eight Bookie Betting Predictions

Who do your players like to win the NCAA March Madness Tournament? We analyze every game and tell you where the action is going.

NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 – Thursday, March 23

Madison Square Garden – New York, NY

East Region

7-Michigan State Spartans -2 vs. 3-Kansas State Wildcats

  • Tip-off: 6:30 pm ET

The odds on Michigan State versus Kansas State have flipped. The Wildcats opened a -1 favorite. But since then, MSU has gone from +1 to -2 and has now settled at -1.5.

The reason for the love of MSU is due to public betting. If we study the action, it’s apparent that your pro-playing sportsbook software handicappers are dumping on K-State.

  • 63% have decided to go with : 9:00 pm ET

The Florida Atlantic Owls got by Memphis 66-65, and in their second game, FAU dusted Fairleigh Dickinson. The two wins are far from how impressive Tennessee looked when bouncing the Duke Blue Devils.

The Volunteers possess the nation’s top defense, so 61% of your price per head players are willing to lay the 5.5. Use the layoff account if players dump on the Vols.

T-Mobile Arena – Las Vegas, NV

West Region

8-Arkansas Razorbacks vs. 4-UConn Huskies -4.5

  • Tip-off: 7:15 pm ET

Many feel Connecticut makes it to the Final Four, which means they’re an Elite Eight squad. But the Huskies must get by a tough Arkansas team.

Then if they take down the Hogs, UConn has to beat a team like the Gonzaga Bulldogs or UCLA Bruins. In the matchup against Arkansas, the late money is going to UConn.

59% feel the Huskies cover a 4.5 spread. On Wednesday, less percentage believed UConn would cover a -3.5 spread.

So Connecticut is getting all the Thursday action. Online bookie agents know how to, and this one. Set limits on an Arkansas money line victory and use the layoff account.

3-Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. 2-UCLA Bruins -1.5

  • Tip-off: 9:45 pm ET

Drew Timme and the Gonzaga Bulldogs are attracting late action to get it done against the UCLA Bruins as a +1.5 underdog.

Setting ML limits is a must. So is using the layoff account on both squads.

Which team takes this one? UCLA has the Zags’ number, but the Bruins struggled against a tough, but nowhere near as good as Gonzaga, Northwestern team.

So the Zags look like a solid play to win this straight up and send Mark Few to another Elite Eight.

KFC Yum! Center – Louisville, Kentucky

South Region

5-San Diego State Aztecs vs. 1-Alabama Crimson Tide -7.5

  • Tip-off: 6:30 pm ET

Friday’s first game in the South Region pits Alabama against San Diego State. Both teams rank in the top 15 in defensive efficiency.

Alabama ranks fourth. San Diego State ranks fifteenth. Although most of the money has gone to the Crimson Tide, 55% to 45%, pro players have yet to get in on this game.

The Tide, for sure, can cover. However, Brandon Miller isn’t one hundred percent, and SDSU’s D has been flawless during the tournament. Watch out for money line bets on the Aztecs.

15-Princeton Tigers vs. 6-Creighton Blue Jays -10

  • Tip-off: 9:00 pm ET

The Creighton Blue Jays have impressed. Creighton beat NC State 72-63 in the first round. Then in their second round game, the Blue Jays got past Baylor 85-76.

No doubt, Creighton can cover against Princeton. Ah, but only 28% believe the Blue Jays do. Princeton has already beaten 2-Arizona and 7-Missouri straight up.

Don’t allow the Tigers to burn your bookmaker software site for a third time. For sure, set max limits.

T-Mobile Center – Kansas City, MO

Midwest Region

5-Miami Hurricanes vs. 1-Houston Cougars -7

  • Tip-off: 7:15 pm ET

If Marcus Sasser is one hundred percent, the Houston Cougars’ top player and Miami’s top player, Isaiah Wong, figure to put on a show.

Wong has been unstoppable in this tournament. Sasser has played hurt. So if he shows up with his best stuff, he’ll counter Wong.

So far, most believe Sasser doesn’t show up with his best stuff. The line has dropped half a point from earlier in the week, and 66% are all over the Canes to cover.

3-Xavier Musketeers vs. 2-Texas Longhorns -4.5

  • Tip-off: 9:45 pm ET

It’s tough not to like the Xavier Musketeers. In his first season back with the Musketeers, head coach Sean Miller has taken the team to the Sweet 16.

That alone is a great story. But the real reason so many love Xavier is because they send one of the most efficient offenses in the nation to the court.

The Musketeers shoot 50% from the field, ranking third in college basketball, and 39.8% from three, ranking fifth, on their way to 82.1 points per game average.

Xavier’s D, though, ranks 305th in points allowed per game. Texas has a much better defense, so slightly more players, 53% to 47%, are laying the 4.5 points.
